Industry in numbers
The Danish games industry has, in collaboration with the Producers' Association, annually compiled key data on the games sector. This page includes past analyses by the Producers' Association and we will publish future analyses by the gaming industry and Games Denmark here.
Overview: From 2017 to 2022, the industry's revenue has more than quadrupled. The latest report from 2024 (2022) shows a revenue of 3.6 billion DKK, with exports at 2.6 billion DKK. Underlining the game industry's strong position as an emerging export sector.
Employment in the gaming industry increased by 18% compared to 2021, reaching 1,281 full-time equivalents (FTEs) in 2022. Over the period 2017-2022, the number of FTEs grew by 74%, indicating significant employment growth in just a few years (read the full report below).
The UKIE report 'The Economic Impacts of Video Game Technology Spillover' additionally show aproximately 1.9 billion DKK spillover into the Danish Economy (read the full report below).
