The European Writers Club/Film i Skåne in collaboration with The National Film School of Denmark and M:brane presents this exclusive masterclass featuring two of Europe’s foremost transmedia storytellers: Kurt McClung and Marie-Sophie Gandy. This event offers a unique opportunity to learn from their extensive experience in crafting multi-platform narratives.
Kurt McClung will present his 360 Narrative Design method used by major studios like Ubisoftand Bandai Namco. Kurt has developed more than 100 IPs for 50+ studios spanning from AAA to indie, and has taught his storytelling strategies internationally. He will be joined by Marie-Sophie Gandy who has over a decade of experience in linking traditional film with interactive and game-based narratives.
This masterclass is for writers, storytellers as well as TV and film creatives looking to expand their narrative beyond one medium, and for game designers who want to refine worldbuilding and story integration. The masterclass will provide you with a toolbox of methods that have been used on real-world, commercially successful projects, and you ’ll leave with insights that will help your story thrive in today’s cross-media entertainment landscape. In connection with this masterclass, we’re offering a two-day workshop with Kurt McClung and Marie-Sophie Gandy, for those who wish to delve deeper into the use of the method in practice:
