Spilprisen 2026 is the annual celebration of Danish video game development, where the industry gathers to honor the year’s most remarkable achievements. Organized by Games Denmark in collaboration with partners from across the creative sector, the awards showcase the talent, creativity, and innovation that define Denmark’s growing role in the global games industry.
The evening highlights the best in game design, storytelling, visuals, audio, innovation, and emerging talent, culminating in the coveted Game of the Year award. A jury of industry professionals will recognize both established studios and newcomers, while the ceremony also serves as a space for networking, inspiration, and community.
More than just an awards show, Spilprisen 2026 is a celebration of the culture and craft of game development, a recognition of the people who bring these experiences to life, and a chance to look ahead to the future of Danish games.
Whether you are a game developer, a friend, a fan, or simply curious about Danish games, Spilprisen is the place to be! After the award show, we will fire up the DJ booth at the afterparty, bring out drinks and food, and you will have the chance to connect and network with the Danish game developer community.

Games Denmarks is a company event organiser for the games industry in Denmark. It spearheads Spilprisen, TAGS at Copenhagen Gaming Week, Matchup and a lot of other events. Games Denmark has it’s own venue, HUB42, and can also facilitate game releases and press events.
